McCain's VP?
John McCain says that he’s just now starting to think about a running-mate.

Does anyone have some good picks for McCain’s VP?
He’s gotta go with a conservative, right? But he sure has been chummy with Lieberman recently – but that wouldn’t make any sense, would it?
In more general terms, will he go to toward the right or toward the center?

After consulting my crystal ball, I predict that McCain will ask Colin Powell to join his ticket in an effort to match the diversity showcased by the Democrats, and Powell will decline the offer. McCain will then ask Condoleezza Rice, and she will accept. McCain-Rice, 2008.
I think McCain will seek a VP who is very conservative and from the south because he needs to win over party conservatives and someone who can help him carry the south.
Here is another angle. Conservatives are party voters voting on the party line almost no matter what. None will vote for “liberal leftists” as a matter of priciple.
If I were McCain I would go the other direction with say Paul or even Lieberman in an attempt to compete with a powerful democratic ticket and dragg Independants and Moderate democrats into the fold. If he did this with lets say Lieberman or Paul. And Hillary gets the democratic nod Myself as an Independant would most likely Go with McCain then. I dislike what Hillary represents that much. She is just as polarizing as G>W>Bush was. This is not good one way or the other for our country. We akll need to start meeting each other half way here.
WE ARE AMERICANS not democrats or republicans. When we return to respecting that we are all one people then I feel we will be viewed by the world in a better light than we are currently. Bothe democratic administrations and Republican have given us a negative view in world opinion.
sorry for the rant.
