Critical Mass - Cyclists vs. Cops
Submitted without comment (for now) – this is one of those CNN “iReport” stories covering a police “crackdown” in Atlanta. I know there are one or two (at least) cyclists here, and there is a CM here in my city,; Rochester, NY. What does everybody think of the Critical Mass thing, and how the police (and the public) should respond?

So, were they complaining about the police writing tickets to cyclists because they were going through red lights? The sarcastic “red light!” “green light!” comments in the second half of the video lead me to that conclusion.
I have no problem with cyclists in general. What I do have a problem with, is when traffic laws are not obeyed by them. Countless times I have seen people riding their bicycles in the road come to a red light, check for traffic and proceed through the light. If a cop sees me run a red light in my car, I would be pulled over and written a ticket. It should be no different for cyclists.
